Not to be disrespectful Belle (massive fan of your blog), but this is cultural appropriation. White people should not be wearing "Native" gear to look cute and hip and fun. There is so much history behind the Native American headdress and to have white people wearing them just to look hip is immensely offensive. To make matters worse, the hats are described as "tribal" headgear. What does that even mean? Native Americans have suffered enough (destruction of their land, identity, culture and human dignity); they do not need to be humiliated any further.
I completely disagree and think these are awesome. The person that makes these isn't even from the United States. What happened between American settlers and the natives was horrible, but it wasn't in any of our lifetimes! There is no reason to punish anyone's creative expression when no harm is being done.
Most New Age folk who wear "tribal" headwear to look "hip" have an understanding of and respect for the Sacred headwear across cultures. And they often are worn to entheogenic or sacred events, not on the street.
