I'd been in two minds about yet another set of box braids on Miss Knowles (i'm not a huge fan of her current love of tieing them back in a low ponytail) however when I saw these images from Solange's blog I had a moment! She looks breath taking in these pictures remind me of a modern day hippy! I love the fact that her hair is longer than her dress, I love the pink and i'll even give her a pass on the white shoes!
If you are planning on box braids this summer make sure the health of your scalp and hair is tip top! avoid tight braids and don't leave them in to long.
I'm all for D.I.Y but if that fails seek professional advise.

Omg! I have to do this. Given I make my braids myself, I don't mind that it'd take me possibly two days, well worth it!

just got my hair braided. very good advice about the condition of the hair and scalp prior to braiding hair.
