It may come as no surprise that Ms Solange Knowles gets the vote for style icon of 2011, she rocks it from her head to her toes, she is not only a style muse but a hair muse for many natural belle followers. Though we have been singing her praises for the last two years it is now that the media is really catching on to what a fashion trail blazer Solange is.
If she is not mixing bold prints or paying homage to her love affair with the 1970's disco era, she is creating new ways to rock her natural hair using extensions, wigs and pieces with as much flair as when she proudly wears her natural TWA. Solange is now a regular at fashion week and featured in high end fashion magazines.
She is a musician, DJ, mummy and Fashionista in he own right, to me Solange embodies everything today's naturalista stands for, she is bold, beautiful, individual, eclectic.....Ms Solange Knowles we salute you!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great choice! She has so much style and she is gorgeous! I think that watching her get away from weaves and going natural really inspired a lot of people to get the courage to follow. Personally I like her much better than beyonce, and its great seeing her be herself. That first picture of her in the blue is my absolute favorite picture of her, by the way!
